[REQ-LOGO] Logo for a poker rakeback site - $35

Type of Contest : LOGO Design

Prize: $35, PayPal or neteller

Contest End Date & Time: 3rd December (48hr extension added)

Color Requirements: Dark Greys, reds, white, black (the logo must look good on a dark grey/black background)

Size Requirements: In the region of 300px x 150px - However you can go outside of this if required. Please feel free to play with different sizes.

General Requirements: I need a slick but fun logo for a poker poker rakeback site - mypokerstake.com

Additional Information: Please bear in mind the themes of Poker, playing Cards, poker chips, money. I also need hi-res transparent copies of the winning entry, with seperate copies of special features such as icons.

Slogan: "Get Rakeback - Get Coaching - Get Staked"

Why am I running the same contest I ran two weeks ago? Simple, we have decided to change the website name before launch!

The last contest went well, the winner was paid straight away ect.

If it is really special I will add bonus money. I sent a bonus last time. This time I am offering a little more up front, so you will have to do really well to get an extra bonus :)

These Links might help you to understand the theme and concept a little better:

Poker Staking: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poker_staking
Poker Rake & Rakeback: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rakeback#Rakeback

We also provide players with coaching to improve their poker game. This can be one on one (student and poker pro), via videos, via group coaching sessions and more. We provide other benefits to players and are essentially a full management, support, and coaching service.

Any questions, just ask.

David

By the way. If you entered the previous competition and did not win please don't be put off trying again. At the end there was no clear winner, I liked several designs and felt it was a very close choice.

Also, I am looking for something a little different on this url. The last one needed to reflect another logo, which I provided a copy of. This one doesn't so designers have much more free reign with their work, and I have much more free reign with my decision at the end.

Many thanks for your entry :)

There was another contest for a logo by a staking/rakeback company here not long ago, and one of the better entries had a similar 'stake through poker chip' feature. Its a nice idea for sure, but I would rather avoid it for that reason.

Not a problem, here's another idea without taking the stake so literal.

hmm.. I think it is too standard to be honest sort of lacking the flair I think the site will need. I'm not really fond of the image either, I don't really see what it is saying. I do think it could get there though, the idea is nice, just not quite right :)

The chip/circle logo is really interesting, maybe a little big in relation to the wording, but there is something about it I like. It does need to say something more about the company though. Perhaps add something relating to poker ect. As listed in the OP.

I think a sharper font would be nicer, and I don't really like the blue .com

Can you also include the slogan "Get Rakeback - Get Coaching - Get Staked"

Also, the logo needs to work against a black background, so reds, white, greys ect need to be used rather than black.

Hi

I like the lettering etc however please note that the logo will be shown on a black background as mentioned above. Obviously this means that black text etc isn't going to be visible. I would like to see this logo with lighter colours such as white, greys etc.

Again, the icon is interesting, but isn't really saying something about the company. Can you bring elements of poker, rakeback and the like into it?

Many thanks

David

To nguyen_huy_hai

Did you remove your last entry? I can no longer see it in the thread. Entries need to be shown in this thread in order to win the contest.

Added: They have re-appeared again. Odd. Maybe there was an issue with the server they are hosted on.

Hey

Those are really starting to come on now,

Can I see versions with the following included:

Slogan: Get Rakeback - Get Coaching - Get Staked
The lettering from number 2 and 3
Some different versions of the icon from 3 and 4?

I like the dark icon from version 4, but at the same time I like the 'spade' emblem in version 3. Maybe a combination of the two with the overlay from number 4 in a little lighter and more transparent but without the white outline?

Great work so far :)

With no outline, it's more difficult to see, so I used 'glow'
And the 'spade' also was difficult to be recognized, I used outline.

Hi

Looks nice. I definatly need to see it with the slogan though, and also would really like to see the icon smaller, and with different colours used (both with and without the glow effect).

Hi

Thanks for the additional entries. I thiunk the icon is a much better size now, and it is good to see the slogan in place.

When I said different colours though, I meant whites, greys, reds, blacks ect. I don't really want any yellows, greens, blues.

How about a few reworks of this: http://i509.photobucket.com/albums/s336/nguyen_huy_hai/up.jpg

With the slogan in white underneath the glow effect? The smaller icon, and some colour changes from the pallet stated above?

Just to clarify the slogan, it is:

Get Rakeback - Get Coaching - Get Staked

With the hyphens :)

Thanks for putting so much effort into this!

Looking good. Can I ask for a couple of simple changes:

1) Can you move the slogan a little further down.
2) Can you make the icon a little smaller
3) Can I see the overlay on the icon with a little bit of transparency, so that some of the 'spade' image underneath shows through a little.

Please remember that I will need transparent copies of the elements if you win the contest. This is mentioned in the OP. Not sure how the backlighting will work with this.

I like the lettering, font etc. I'd like to have the slogan no longer than the url name though :)

Yeah, I want to avoid stakes through anything really as that concept has already been heavily used at a competitors site. Putting it through the cards was a good thought though.
