General Requirements : The site is going to be a poker-related site which will give information about player backing arrangements and connect poker players with backers who will give them money to play in poker tournaments in exchange for a percentage of winnings.

Note - this contest was originally slated to end on the 19th and had a first place of $25. I think the outage problems here on NP have been hurting this contest significantly and hope that the mods won't object to extending it until the 22nd. I've also decided to add $15 to the contest winner and pay a runner-up prize to encourage submissions.

Sorry for lack of feedback, umx... been trying to login for a few days. I like the concept submission a lot. It's nice to see the bar being set high. And I love the tagline you came up with. You do great work as always, umx, and I hope to work with you a lot this year.

I extended the contest a little bit because of the connection problems here on NP... hopefully you don't object. I also added some money to the prize pool so you're expected value won't be negatively effected by the extension.

Thanks for the submissions so far guys.... I very much like the idea of the P$ combo being a central theme in the logo.

The P$ combination was actually central to my very first poker website back in 2000, Pokerspot.... so I could probably claim trademark rights in the mark "P$" as it relates to poker and that gave me the idea of incorporating P$s into the site much the same way that NP$s are incorporated here.

Hopefully I'll see some other quality concepts before this contest ends.

Note to mods - I tried to change the subject of the thread to indicate the increased prize... would definitely appreciate it if it could be changed to :

Runner-up has been decided and is Marcello for his second handshaking concept... my girlfriend Michele thought it was a good concept because it had the staker helping the player up, and I have to agree. I'll PM you guys. Thank you everyone for the submissions.
