[REQ - Logo] Logo for a new site - $60 prize

Hi all ... looking for a logo for an upcoming site I want to do, whaleskin{.}com. It will be a wall decal brand (d), . Would like it to appear retro with a unique font, but still simple, bold and legible.

Type of Contest : LOGO Design

Prize : $60.00

Contest End Date & Time : February 25 - noon - 2 week runtime

Size Requirements : Winner will supply logo in vector and jpeg formats.

Color Requirements : Open .. but would like for it to look as good or better when black and white ... think oval bumper stickers

General Requirements : Would like to see it with and without the .com (but the .com shouldn't just be added like and afterthought, I'd like it to look like it's part of the name)Reason being online I wouldn't use the .com but anything offline i'd like to have the .com shown

Additional Information : Not sure what I prefer, but am thinking I would like to see either just a tail, on top of the name, or a full whale, etc.?

Please let me know if you need any verification.

Wow, great start!

One quick request to add, my wife was looking at these and came up with a great thought... can everyone incorporate ...

a little corner rolling over to make it appear as wallpaper or a wall decal, not totally unrolled yet(maybe reverse out the color) it doesn't have to be big, just enough to get the point across

I know it won't apply to some of the logos above that have already been done, but if it makes sense could you try it.

I will give individual feedback later.

Ok, time for some feedback...

sammy, like the overall look, but would like to see the edge roll (maybe on the w) to make it look like a decal

nod, of those like the 3rd best .. but it needs some work, maybe a different font?

virgin, i see you added the rolled edge, but would like to see it on the actual logo .. maybe the one side of the tail.

will, i like it a lot ... would like to figure out a way so that both words don't appear the same ... maybe whale is regular while skin is bolded or capitalization? also, can I see it with the water spout being white on the blue letters?
namanda, really like the whale, but the font doesn't work... it needs to be more balanced.

good, like the last one the best, but can't read the words ... maybe put the roll on part of the tail ... plus the tail could use a little work to look more like a whale's tail ... would like for it to be apparent when first seen.

Hey namewaiter,

Here's an idea. I was trying to keep it oval and make something that looks good in color and black/white. I think the font has a nice retro/sticker look to it.
