[REQ-LOGO] Checkraisers.com - for a poker social network - $30

Domain name : Checkraisers.com (also have the singular checkraiser.com if it fits better with your logo design)

Site concept : Using one of the many social networking scripts out there (leaning towards socialengine.net) to setup an invitation-based poker community site.

General Requirements : None really... use your imagination and go wild. I haven't sprung for any scripts or designs yet... this logo is my first step and whatever you come up with will guide the rest of the overall design.

Additional Info : Checkraising in poker is when you check a hand planning on raising someone behind you who takes the bait and bets. It's considered a somewhat tricky and higher level play. Several decades ago, it was considered unethical and people would get really made if you checkraised them... some home games banned the move altogether and even casino run lowball games had (and continue to have where they are spread) a no check-raising a made 7 rule.

Prize : $30 for this one... I'm going to be listing several poker-related logo contests this week so feel free to submit the designs you come up with for one into the other contest threads (obv with different text matching the appropriate domain

I love the pointed finger concept, umx... like someone tapping the table checking. Very original. Not loving the cartoony finger itself, but with a bit of revision I think the concept could put the submission in the lead.

Jtoms... your latest submission is really slick and I like it a lot more than your first submission for this one. The only thing I'd change is pluralizing the checkraiser and adding the .com.

For any of you artists out there working up future submissions... including the .com in there is pretty critical, as there are several other extensions registered and developed.

Going to have to go with jtoms on this one... I love the concept of the checking finger, umx... but it just don't feel like the execution fits with the overall tone I'm trying to create. Also like yours a lot neonic, but I think that logo is going to go better with another one of my domains ChipStackers.com... so I'm skyping you to use it for that instead.
