Hayes.us - $1,950

via Afternic.

Big sales are nice, but these type of ordinary sales provide steady cash flow that pay the bills and can be reinvested.

The .COM was reported sold recently for over a million dollars.

I am not sure if it is the same buyer, or a different party.

Priority Heating And Cooling com
Spaceship
$300
Hold time 22 months
Purchase price: $32 including renewals
Details: The name was priced at $400 and received $200 offer. Back and forth got us to $300. My first sale at Spaceship occurred after I moved most of my names from Spaceship to Afternic in late December.

This was my 4th Heating and Air/ Heating and Cooling sale of 2025 (others being Discount, AAA and Pittsburgh), over the last 10 years I have sold probably 25-30 of them including major cities like Columbus, Cincinnati, Las Vegas, Savannah and Pittsburgh (twice). Always priced between $200-$600 and almost always inbound.

I sold the domain name B A L L I D .com at BrandPa, where nameservers were pointed (was also listed Atom Std, Afternic, Sedo and Unstoppable).

$850 Negotiated (by BrandPa).
Inbound.

Sale is reported on NameBio under my RenameOne brand. Payout was recent, although the sale started in holiday period a few weeks ago.

BrandPa charge 25% commission. For payouts less than $1000 the only payout option is PayPal.

Hold time was just under 4 months. I acquired the name in expiry. According to HosterStats I was the 8th registrant since 2000, not counting a couple of short 'domain tasting' registrations in early years. I found the name because it was in the Sept. 20 DomainDingo brandable drops list (Fun fact: the M i n t o y sale I announced in December was from the same day of DomainDingo brandable drops - but I have not sold any of the other names I have picked up from those lists, yet at least).

Notes:
(1) I saw the name as either something about ball (object, metaphor or LN) and ID, or as word 'ballad' with a creative spelling of I. I don't know exactly the plans of buyer, but I think related to former. Seems bought by someone who had the same name in .fi.
(2) The name had a solid Atom Domain Insights score, and I first submitted it to Atom Premium consideration but was surprised when it was not accepted. At that point, I listed it on BrandPa instead, and because of the Atom rejection decided to give BrandPa a lot of flexibility in negotiation. The BIN at BrandPa was $1888 and the minimum they could negotiate to was the price it sold at. Anyway, I am happy to have sale with such a short hold time.
(3) This was my first sale of last 12 months at BrandPa - I have about 130 listings. It was my 2nd sale ever at BrandPa. You need to keep nameservers pointed there, but they do not require exclusivity.

Afternic BIN Sale – First Sale as a New Domain Investor (Data Point + Strategy)
1768599513199.png

Domain: America/ On/ Ai (.) com
Acquired: 20 Sept 2025
Acquisition Cost: $9 (hand-reg)
Hold Time: ~ Under 4 months
Platform: Afternic
Listing: BIN
BIN Price: $299
Commission: 30%
Registrar at Sale: Hostinger (non-fast-transfer)

Sale completed via instant BIN. Transfer and Afternic processing took roughly 50 minutes end-to-end. No negotiation and no broker involvement.

This was my first sale as a new domain investor. I currently have a small portfolio of 18 domains, and this was the first to sell. Sharing the numbers and timeline here as a data point, since similar posts helped me learn when I was starting out.

Pricing Strategy / Notes:

Originally listed at $3,999 for a few months before reducing the BIN to $299 heading into the holidays. The pattern “ on AI” appears to have at least some end-user appeal, as this was a fast and clean BIN without counter-offer.

Portfolio Strategy Going Forward:

I hold a couple of similar geo-AI names in the same pattern and will likely adjust pricing upward based on this validation.

Still early in my journey, but helpful to see what actually moves and at what price points.
