Sold via afternic in April - all payments now received.
Purchased via namepros auction in 2022 for 32 dollars - this is the first $XXXX end user sale I have had for a name purchased on namepros.
Why I liked this domain - it made me think of the name Sophia.

The name was atom premium and had an atom lander with a bin under 3k and option for lease to own however buyer still bought via afternic at the increased price - this meant the commission was 25%

I had thought the name would qualify for the atom commission match guarantee whereby they refund the difference on the higher afternic commission however I found out this promotion only applies to domains which have been bought outright - the LTO excluded it.

My portfolio crossed 500 names this year and I have had 5 sales (3 via LTO) so it is performing as expected with a 1% STR.

Notes: The price and venue for this domain changed over time. At one point, this domain was priced at $5k or so. More recently, I had it at $160,000 on Spaceship.

In November, a GoDaddy broker enquired about the domain via WHOIS. I quoted $160k but never heard back. Following that and increased traffic, I switched to Make Offer and waited.

Weeks later, the buyer showed up. Their opening offer was $5,000. My counter was $250,000. After a week of back-and-forth, we agreed on $135,000.

I’m happy with the outcome. It’s a great price for a hand-reg, more so for this TLD.
