I really like brandable domains, and for me this was a play on the word “dipper.” In my head, this is the logo that I had in mind and asked the Brandpa designer to make. I’m not sure how the buyer intends to use it - they bought via Afternic and not Brandpa - but I just thought it was an interesting pronounceable word that could be used for a lot of purposes.

I totally ignored the offer because of his presentation, he said in his mail that he knew "it's a few month old".. I was like "and so what?".
Exactly a month later, I received a $2k offer while my asking price was just $6.5k. After some back and forth, we settled for $4.7k.

Nice! I had actually talked to the previous owner who had a modest website on it, but he was asking 5K for the domain. I thought about it and eventually decided to not purchase at that price. Looks like a short time later he gave you a much better quote (assuming you bought it from the same person). Super ROI for the domain, well done. Heck, even at 5K it would have been a great ROI
