Two reasons.

1. it did sell at two different places since most domainers post their domains for sale at multiple market places and it is possible that two different buyers purchased the domain at the same time if at least one was a Buy Now option.

2. At Dan once your domain has sold somewhere else and the nameservers still point at Dan you have the option at Dan to designate your domain As Sold. It will show on Dan's landers it has been sold.

Domain sold via Afternic. I listed this domain on Godaddy, Dan and Sedo as well.

You can mark a domain as "sold" on one marketplace if it sells first on another.

I get what you are saying but a domain can technically only sell at one venue as we are all aware.
