Just sold a 4L.org (hand regged in Nov) for $3,600.

When it comes to short / brandable domain names, it really is a numbers game.

Picked up around 550 5L.org in all (total cost around $3,300).

Already sold $8,600 worth (Sedo & GD BIN sales), and received another offer for another one ($1,000, via Sedo). So I still have 548 left and the law of averages says a few more should sell over the next 3-6 months.

Just registered 300 .NET brand-type domain names (total cost: $2,600) - pricing them all in the $1,800-$4,800 range. They were carefully selected, all terms/keywords taken in at least 5-6 extensions, all have brand-appeal, have potential end users that may want to upgrade to .NET (.COM taken/not available/not affordable) - will update results to this experiment in the near future.

sounds like a good assumption. but.. he did say short/brandable names.. so maybe 5L could still fit under this category. that'd be some amazing stats if that was true.

I think you talked about similar sale patterns and stats and % .. out of a larger collection of your 4l.org .. on this threasd before.

Is it an enduser ? If so you should have asked for atleast 8K or hold it for some more time.

Yes, I was dealing with an enduser, he wanted to secure this domain for future project. I didn't negotiate for more as i was on a break from domain flipping and accepted most of the offers. He didn't buy it for anything related to VR though.
