How did you sell this one? As I own a few .co.za and would be interested to know how to sell them.

It's a domain sale. I actually developed a site for it during the sale but the site isn't included. I have moved the site to Web-Hosting-Reviews.com

Interesting.

Wasn't this domain sold for $7.800 at sedo in 2010?

At least this was reported in DNJournal

http://www.dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2010/20101110.htm

Yep, I noticed this sale history as well but I didn't get it for that price. Not sure what happened to that $7.8k deal.

Federer, nice sale. Do you use software to find your domain to register, which also help you gauge the end user volume?

There are dozens of websites that facilitate the acquisition of keyword domains. Now it would be too easy if i listed them all here. Use your mind and search the Web.

But I will share the fields that, from my humble experience, reap the best rewards: Brands, Keywords relating to Services/Products, Short/Catchy Domains.
Extension: .COM/.NET/.ORG are, and will remain solid for many years to come.
Despite what some investors think, .INFO/.BIZ end user sales are happening daily - the vast majority of end user sales do not get reported. Many companies turn to these long-running extensions when their counterparts are not available/way over-priced.
Solid ccTLDs are also good investment vehicles: .DE, .CO.UK etc.

Have you sold this to the .net owner?

This time I really don't see many end-user options apart from them.

Do not just think in terms of "end-user options".

Think in terms of Brand Appeal, easy-to-recall keywords that make sense for a number of different business models. Think Start-up. "MY" and "YOUR" keyword domains enjoy success due to their branding nature - especially when the secondary keyword is solid.
