The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
GoDaddyGoDaddy
Just thinking aloud and analyzing/asking myself the question why I don't see such a value in the domain. Because obviously I am doing something wrong here.
There is a lesson in this.

Domainers, especially newcomers, are too focused on certain metrics like search volume, and throwing figures around as if they were some sort of magic formula.
But they don't pay enough attention to the brandability of the domain. I have found that brandability is a very important factor in domain sales because end users buy domains for business ventures and domains that are rather unique are sought after. It also explains why many sales are unpredictable.

Domains don't sell just because because they have some metrics.
Even if they do, that doesn't mean they are brandable, fit for advertising or suitable for business cards. BeautifulFlowers is a domain that meets these criteria.

I never look at the metrics when I buy a domain. The domain must first look good to the eye (and the ear).

This. It can be frustrating dealing with buyers who quote Alexa rankings or other less than meaningful statistics.

You will never know how much I appreciate you sharing this. When I first started, I was told that search volume was everything and not to fool with a domain that felled below 200 in the adword search. Initially I listened to that but then I noticed a lot of weird domains going for thousands at dnjournal.com every single week. Bottomline, if you have a domain that somebody like and want, it's going to sell. The key thing is not an adword result but patience. For example to the average domainer something like lasikyesdotcom would not make sense let alone should up in any kind of results. I handregged it in Feb for less than 10 bucks and sold it a few days ago for $495 Had I took this name over to our "free" appraisal section here, they would have said $0 That's why I stop going over there. Because what is stupid to one person makes absolute good sense to another. CompareHealth.com sold for $30,000 and it falls well below the 200 level. BeautifulFlowers.com is a whooping 49,000. That's why I said that that was a good price. In the world of domaining, it is as you said...unpredictable. If an enduser wants that name, they could give a darn about google results and adword results.

BeautifulFlowers dot com - $6,500
Thatโ€™s a great sale for a quick flip, but I would have asked for 25k (or more) if this were my domain. As sdsinc said itโ€™s very nice domain for a flower company to brand itself around. IMO

We all have our valuations and timescales and at some point we sell. No right or wrong, just personal strategy.

I wouldn't say this is cheap.
Sure, Radius is a one word .com, but commercially almost only usable by companies who use this word either as part of their brand names or solely as their brand names.
I would even go so far to say that there was also some WIPO risk with the domain name. One (or more) of the numerous TM holders
http://www.trademarkia.com/trademarks-search.aspx?tn=Radius
could have tried to reverse hijack it (dependent on how it was used before and as far as i can see it was simply parked with network solutions).
With a price of 100K, the WIPO costs are peanuts and worth a try.

All in all i would say 100K is a fantastic price for both.

By the way, Compass.com auction at sedo canceled :D

btw, on a similar note to compass getting canceled - end-users should eat more vitamins and stress-killers. i had 4 offers (2 from USA, 1- Germany, 1 - Denmark) (via their initial email solicitation) in a row last 2 months, all dead as amnesia and fooling around is new trend this season among bosses. spring-time, hormones hugh))
sorry for a bit off-topic, no sales to report now.

and Gifted, think your signature is something those chaps (some of them being CEOs and proud start-up founders, serial entepreneurs as they are often called) are unfamiliar with.
and to continue with the vent, earlier I did not understand why Rick Schwartz is so short and 'arrogant' with his domain solicitors. now considering the size of his portfolio and amount of interest his domains have been getting, when the majority of people are to be just a sink of time I understand why.
pro domainers are a positive element in a sense adding value by distributing domains to those who are serious at least about keeping their word.

Dot Com:
Jacksonville Cleaning Service $100

I had sent end user letters 2 other times on this name with zero interest. Dropped the price from $379 to $149 and got an email that said "how about $100". :sold: I also have another name that he has interest in...let's see how that goes.

These are good sales. Do this 1 day per week (5 days a week) and your doing $500 a week. You can get domains of this type for under $5 if you know where to look :)

Good job
