may I ask out of curiosity from your past sales, what is the highest sale that someone just clicked the paypal bin button and paid on your site directly?

and when paid via paypal in this way, do you ever have concerns or take special precautions after sale, to ensure no issues like chargebacks via paypal etc?

The highest was $2,400 and that was the first one since Paypal was an option. I was nervous on that one. The Efty landing pages are not "fast transfer" so I have communication with the Buyer to complete the sale. Of course there is some nervousness about paypal chargebacks, but I want to make the purchase as easy as possible for the buyer. If it is a name that I have a substantial investment in, I will change the BIN to Escrow.com.

I was losing to many sales using Escrow.com because of fee resistance and proof of identity issues. I am just applying a principal I use in my business life. "Don't inconvenience 95% of your customers because of the 5% who want to take advantage of you"

That's a really good point, and something I've been considering as well. With Afternic landers, I'm curious how many potential buyers walk after seeing the signup prompt...

Sold:

AR Multiplayer (.com)

Purchase Price: £1 (10 months ago)

Sale Price: $100

Buyer contacted me asking how much directly through whois email. I was going to let this one drop in the next couple of months so went back with a $100 BIN.

Could have probably got more due to the buzz around augmented reality at the moment but didn't want to get too greedy on a name I was about to let drop.

I don't have to wonder. I can't tell you how many BIN click I have recieved on my Efty landing page, that initiated an Escrow.com transaction but we're never completed or funded. Since Efty began offering the option to feed the BIN to Paypal, I have not had one abandoned transaction.
