This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

Speaking about incomplete data.

I think it's OK to post smth like "GEO+plumbingservice.com, for low/mid/high $XXXX" or "Tokyo+Keyword(Service/profession).com, for low/mid/high $XXXX", because there is indeed some useful data to think about.

Can't edit my post so I'll repost. Geo+homeservices.king is the name. Acquired 11/19/16 via GD closeouts @ $5+renewal.

Useful info to extract here.

How, for how much and where it was acquired.

The fact that it was acquired for $5 shows nobody else saw value in the domain.

Length of time it was owned and work involved in selling it.

Services is a strong keyword for the right three word combos.

It's a three word domain which many domain investors overlook, again my post shows that there's sales to be made with the strong longtail domains.

I'm scratching my head wondering how any of this information is useless?

Just sold:
HospitalitySoftware.net - $200.

A few sales today:

PortablePitchingMound.com - $350
GrupoAtlas.com - $400
HealthcareExecutiveSearchFirm.com - $300

Hello @Federer
I like your sales, and the way how you contact end users for fast transactions, but I don't understand one thing, you say that you sell domains to end users (outbound), but why all domains you reported are still having your contact infos and landing in sale page ?
For example you sold HospitalitySoftware.net two months ago @ $200 to an end user, the domain today is for sale @ $149 Only !!! is this logical?
I can understand that contacts info are yours because user did not change contact informations ..., but an end user (Company) that sale a domain after only 2 month with a loss of $51 ..... it's strange !!

PS: Excuse my English, I'm French :)

Domain name: Savannah/ Heating/ And/ Air dot com
Sale venue: GoDaddy
Listing type: Premium Domains
Listing upgrades:None.
Seller: Me
Asking price $450
Sale price: $450
Purchase venue: GoDaddy (unregistered)
Purchase price: $8.19 plus a couple of renewals
Details: No outbound marketing whatsoever. Buyer purchased through GoDaddy Premium Domains.

This is a niche that I have had much success with in the past. I have sold 8 other names with the same format (GEOHeatingAndAir.com) over the last several years but haven't tried to market any of them since 2014. The funny thing is that if you ask domainers if these type of names are worthwhile they would say that they have no value and are too long. Thankfully I was able to purchase most of my names with no competition (although probably no longer, lol) I chose to share this sale not because I am bragging about my efforts, rather to encourage NP'ers to find their niche regardless of what others say about it.

Rentaholic.com $250

From my Efty landing page.
Closed through Epik Escrow.

I purchased a lot of 35 names here in NP in October for $75. 3 of them were BB names, which is what I was really buying. This was just one of "throw in" names. It was registered at Dotster and I transfered it to Epik to avoid the Dotser push fiasco. So in essence I recovered my $75.00 purchase and $8.10 cost to transfer; cleared $169.90 and have 34 more names to market, including 3 on Brand Bucket.

I am happy to do that with a name I did not really even care to own.

Wowww, so you hand-reg a very very long domain Yesterday, you sent an email to 25 law firms, you received a reply, you negociated, Firm accepted, Firm created an account @ your registrar so you can push the domain to its accout, you pushed the domain, firm paid you !!!

Wow Wow you are a Great domainer, You did all this in less than 24 hours :) I hope I can do the same thing one day :)

(I asked you a question yesterday but didn't get an answer? )

There is nothing "very very/too long" when it comes to end user retail domain names.

The common myth that "Lengthy domains = no value" belongs to those with very little knowledge of the industry.

If the buyer gets one client in the next 12 months from simply owning the domain, then it's an absolute steal for the buyer.

Yea may have been able to ask for more. But I don't worry about that after the fact
