This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

This year means 2015? Being a BB rep helps? :P

Congrats on success!!!

It's been a pretty good year so far. I have sold a fair amount of names off both MediaPlow and BrandBucket. Here are my BB names that I have sold this year...

I haven't been around at all lately, so it took me a while to go through all pages with completed sale reports and like them all. Great going, guys, congratulations to you all :)

While I've been mostly away from domaining in attempt to figure some things out (still on to it), some smaller sales took place in January. Here it is, my humble contribution to this thread:

b r a n d f i e n d ( d o t ) c o m - $400 via Go Daddy premium listings
n u u k e ( d o t ) c o m - (very) low $xxxx via BrandBucket
s t o c k s a n d b o n d s ( d o t ) c o - $103 via Flippa

All prices are before commission fees are deducted, so not exactly great sales, but hey, beats selling nothing at all :)

Don't report sales anymore, but this one I would report as it was a nice learning experience for me as well.

Sold Rubbishes.com for $500 via GD auctions.
Picked for $1 back in May.

Now the real deal about this name is that the initial offer was $99...and it took 18 counters to reach to $500.

The buyer was hell of a negotiator... Who would increase the bids by either $1 or $5, and occasionally by $75.

He seemed not bothered by any comments that I sent, neither was unnerved by my counters, as I too dropped the counters with $1-$5 decrements, following him in his footsteps. :P

Grilling, but worth it.
Shows we can always fetch a respectable price with interested buyers.
Not to stretch/ bend too much that it breaks.

sublime/link/directory/com sold at GD auctions for 100 $
Purchased from NP auctions for 5 $ couple of years ago. It was registered on Namecheap and godaddy took almost one month to verify the transfer and pay me.

BAMMM! Finally can publish my first sale for this year as Escrow is completed and funds have been released.
Prototypingxxx.com for (name changed lightly to protect buyers from being bombarded by other domainers, sorry) mid xx,xxx and already in use to redirect to a specific service/product used for rapid prototying.
My fastest and most profitable handreg flip so far.. handregged on 9th Jan, sold by 19th Feb already :P

Ps: got plenty more top Prototyping domains, i notice getting increasing inquiries on them, as it seems to heat up together with 3d printing & rapid prototyping..

Great flip there @GravityEleven

Massive Congratulations

One of the truly best flips I have come across personally.
Shows the sort of intense research put into the niche by you. Glad it paid off so well.

Congrats @GravityEleven, great sale for a handreg !!
Did you approach the end user or was it reverse? Any email campaign you ran for the name?
What was the first offer of the buyer since we are looking at mid $xx,xxx as final price?

Congrats.

These are very impressive sales. I find it incredibly intriguing when people are able to flip hand regs to end users with such huge profits. How can these end-users go from not wanting the name for $1 to paying $xx,xxx for it.

So...... we get to see a Domain Sherpa interview with you then? That sale meets the criteria.... $5000 profit, a return of at least 100%, etc.

I didn't realize prototyping was becoming such a big deal.

VirtualPrototyping got snapped up a couple days ago. I was planning to reg that.

The end user who bought it has a whole developmental infrastructure in place, behind this purchase.

Prototyping is a huge niche but very much in the nascent stages yet.

It is gaining more and more attraction with 3d printing getting bigger & bigger.

deleted (wanted to mention something more reg. the sale but better after some other negotiations are completed first)

Got contacted first, initial offer was x,xxx already so pretty easy to see they were a big fish.. further negotiations took around 4 days before agreeing on mid xx,xxx..
have to mention it was all about timing.. had i been 40 days too late to check the availability of that domain the owners may have registered it for $ 9 straight away..

more incredible to me was actually to find out how many quality prototyping domains still did lie around unregistered in 2014 & 2015 until i snapped them all up..
