I wasn't feeling very well lately. So I didn't check my emails x_x... The offer came in 6 days before i checked my email... it was the $2,711. I knew it was either accept it or lose it and no room to counter since the buyer was probably disinterested at that point. (See infosec's Hot buyer rule)

So, knowing there was some money being left on the table, i accepted.

The buyer, of course, went dark.. the AFternic broker chased and said buyer was still interested but having ahard time paying (that usually means they're gone.)

But they paid today and i just transferred it over. Expecting the payout this week.

I bought this domain originally because it was the non-TM version of Ethereum... but upon googling it after offer came in... looks like at least 7 companies use the name in various countries.

So it was accidentally a good domain

Fun facts: Domain had a DAN lander and was pending sale for day or two before I received the confirmation mail from Afternic. In case of a no-show, I quickly increased prices at DAN to the tune of $4888 even though the name had clocked in a handful of lander visits last month. Lo and behold, the very next day it sold at Afternic.

In retrospect, I think I left a couple grand on the table. Could have easily fetched a bit more. During the first year, I had the name initially priced around the 3-4k range. Dropped the price before renewals and forgot to update it later. Nevertheless, I ain’t disappointed. Good ROI after all. I knew this name was sale-worthy the moment I regged it...

Also, Afternic sent the payout in 2 business days post sale. Pretty smooth. Guess it’s time to say - “No further details, please?”
