Good luck with your sales!

I hand-registered this name back then, inspired by a concept blending 'revolution' and 'IQ' keywords. I am really pleased with the payout times recently at Afternic. This one is paid within 24 hours.

Still have a lot of sales to post but little time, don't want to skim through cause it'd be a pity. Anyway.

Sold by Afternic Bin. Hold time 10 months. Drop Reg.

AI.com domains are still like the Cinderella of the field, pretty ignored and less sought for.... and therefore far less valuable in comparison with .AI tld. However I decided earlier to go for it and been able to make good money this year from a bunch of handregs and some drops. We'll see what the future has to say about it though.

This is a misspell but very short so it sold rather quickly.

Note, there's basically no demand in AI 3-word .COM domains, so stop handregging that.

I expect this keyword will change someday but not quite soon. So there's still money to be made.

Hmmm... nobody else posting sales for this long? :xf.confused:

Then let me show another sale, maybe helps keeping the spirit up:

Untitled.png

One of my longest held domain sales. Afternic BIN, hold time 4 years 9 months. Drop reg.

I registered this domain way before the AI boom, knowing that someday it will sell. Or... I might end up using it for one of my projects. In the end, it sold.

Price is kinda meh, but in this market, I'll take it.

Had to drop price a bit on AI.com domains to speed up sales. I sell this kind but it's nowhere near the .AI tld, unfortunately. The good part is, they still sell, help the bottom line - and I am in nice profit this year, so yeah, I'm happy with it.

Edit: Since "onsite" is a combo word, this is what I call a 2.5-words .com domain. For these, prices are generally lower than 2-word .coms, but there is no definite rule though... the eye of the beholder, who knows.

Brand [.RE]

Sale price : 2500 EUR ( approx 2680 USD at the day of transfer)
Venue: Sedo
Hold time: 1 month

I bought this for a personal project I had in mind, there was no lander on it. On the same day, the buyer contacted me to express their interest in the name. Negotiations took about a month, patience was key. I found an equally good name for my project, so I think it worked out well for both parties.

After a really slow summer, things have finally picked up for me. Sold this week:
Sold c o v a l e n c e . xyz on Afternic FT for $1295 BIN.
Nameservers pointed there, so 15% commission (boost not on for me).
I picked name up in 2023 using ExpiredDomains to track drop.
Standard renewal. Hold time 16 months.
I undersold the name – until a month or so ago had it priced about $700 more. Not sure if it was price change, or moving servers to Afternic from Dan, or uptick in market, or just random that it now sold.
PS I have verified the sale and it is now listed on NameBio.

I also sold this week the domain name r e b e l s .cc for $1295.
It was also an Afternic BIN sale, but .cc names are not eligible for FT.
The lander was pointed to Afternic, so 15% commission (no boost).
Hold time about 30 months (I initially registered it for 4 years, so was registered 2022-2026). Multi-year .cc deal at Dynadot make it more economical to do that for a name you plan to hold.
It is my third low $$$$ cc sale so far in 2024, but I have 609 .cc names now, so the annual STR for 4-fig .cc would be about 0.56%, considering year not yet finished. I am now more selective in adding .cc, hoping to raise the STR.
Domain sales are very sporadic, nothing for months, then several sales close together.
The sale is verified and listed on NameBio under my MemorableCC site name as seller.

I acquired this domain name approximately five years ago from an end user for $400. I identified it listed on Sedo for a significantly higher price point of $1,000. Recognizing its potential, I proactively contacted the original owner and negotiated a successful purchase at my initial offer.

Over the past five years, the domain has attracted significant interest within the motivational speaking industry, a rapidly growing sector with premium course offerings. I received multiple offers ranging from $2,500 to $5,000, demonstrating the domain's value to potential buyers.

A recent buyer approached me with a $3,500 offer, which we ultimately negotiated to a final sale price. While this falls short of a five-figure sale, it represents a significant return on my initial investment and aligns with my long-term strategy of building a strong domain portfolio. My key takeaway from this deal : strong domains provide greater leverage in negotiations and open doors to premium valuations within targeted markets.
