hey folks. my name's joe. i pretty much spend my entire time here at namepros in the design contest forum. recently considering getting into the domain buying/selling hobby. i come with questions that you guys and gals can answer
okay, so i have a good idea for a .md domain name. it is available through the site max.md. this site is charging $150 for 1 year, and $275 for 2 years. Is this site overpriced? or are .md's normally this expensive? godaddy.com seems really cheap when it comes to .com, .net, .tv, etc.
the plan would be to register the site, find hosting somewhere, develop a homepage, logo, etc. then sell it. i just don't know if paying $150 would be worth it.
i've never bought/sold a domain before, so this would be a first time to me. should i instead buy a domain from godaddy for my first time?
is the selling process as easy as i would think it be? i read that domains can be "pushed" from account to account. so the person would pay me, then i would push the domain to his/her account?
i guess any advice would be helpful at this point. the above information was learned by me just tonight, so i have a lot to learn yet!
