    Hi

I just registered a name at Uniregistry and have double checked that it is correct, I have not redirected the name or anything else.

The name is redirecting to an online toy store?
Does this mean they own the name? Or is there another explanation?

    Very odd.....

Check the name servers and change them to point to where you want them to.

I'm not an expert on Cache DNS will get in touch with Uni and see what they say

With Uniregistry I have it set up to automatically point to Undeveloped.

In case this happens to anyone else I will post the replies.....( have now emailed @Undeveloped )

    Good day,

    Thank you for contacting us.

After a lookup, we can see the domain (insert here) is currently using external name servers with Undeveloped.

I kindly advise you reach out to Undeveloped directly, as we do not control the DNS with external namer servers. Their support team should be able to assist you further.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any further questions.

My understanding (quite possibly wrong :xf.wink:) is that when a domain name transfers if the new owner does not change them any DNS settings (and maybe forward instructions? not sure?) stay as were. I know I have sold domain names and notice after the transfer for awhile they still pointed to my website (where I had directed them).

Also, remember that in theory it can take up to 48 hr for DNS changes to propagate everywhere. Also certain browsers (like Chrome) keep using cached copies unless you clear the cache.

Anyway, I would make sure that you have:
    • set the DNS to what you want
    • if forwarding the name set the forwarders to where you want it to go
    • wait for at least more than a day
    • restart your browser

Sometimes when transferring a name for example the forwarding still retains and you have to do a process of elimination to get it going where you want.

They are set to automatically change - the problem was at Undeveloped's end, still do not know what the problem was though.

Main thing it has been sorted!

Bang on cue I get the below reply from them :xf.smile: Simple case of me being an impatient sod (as usual)

"I do believe it was simply the time required by your registrar to get the name severs changed. When I search for your domain now it is pointing to your landing page at Undeveloped."
