hi was wondering what are good sites for auctioning in terms of their commission rates and how much it would costs to list domains. So far i signed up for Sedo and found out about their min $60 commission, which for me(and my domains) was quite alot. I might go for godaddy but i just wanted to know what you guys think!! thanks!

When it comes to putting up domains for sale the main places to take advantage of are the following:
  • Godaddy Auctions
  • NameJet Auctions
  • Sedo
  • Flippa
  • Forum Auctions (You can list it here in NamePros)
Of course the commission percentages and fee vary but if the domain is quality and gets you a good price paying for the fees will be worth it as these market places help create a lot of exposure. Another smart way to gain exposure is to park your domains and put a for sale sign/banner somewhere so if someone comes to your site they know you have it for sale.

To start out put your domains in the Godaddy Auctions as make offer and also put them in Sedo. When you put them in Flippa or NameJet Auctions you have to commit to selling it. There is a lot of information on each of the market places above you can find on this forum. Just keep learning and experimenting.

Probably eBay with commissions around 10% (eBay + PayPal). Use it for liquid names like LLLL.coms
GoDaddy Auctions charge 15%.
If you found customer and looking for cheap Escrow SEDO have option for 3% Escrow, need to request it before you list that domain though.
