Please welcome our newest moderator, Reece, who will be joining garrett200 as a mod on the NamePros DotMOBI boards. I appreciate his willingness to lend a hand!

I am officially standing down as an assigned moderator in this area, but do still intend to be a regular presence in the DotMOBI related discussion.

Thanks everyone for your continued positive participation of the DotMOBI board here at NP. I know the past couple months have been rough, but I feel the vibe is definitely getting improving.

Cheers!

RJ

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your warm words and best wishes :)

The .mobi subforum was the birth of .mobi for many of us...

It's how we found out about .mobi -- it's also what lead us to invest in .mobi (or invest more in .mobi)...

It's provided us with developers to help us develop our .mobis and supporters who encourage us to develop and acquire more .mobis.

It's helped many of us make sales or acquire great .mobis we missed out on regging ourselves.

And lastly, it created a new community (some call us .mobiers) sharing a common goal -- to see .mobi succeed. And there's no place I'd rather spend my free time than in the company of fellow .mobi enthusiasts trying our hardest to see that success be realized. :tu:

You forgot to mention that we're not going to put up with anyone's crap! :yell: :hehe:

Seriously though, I wish us both good luck and many happy .mobi moments :great: :tu:

Reece,

Congratulations on the NP-MOD position. You have been a solid and constant contributor to the NP mobi forum for quite some time. Teaching by example (being right in the thick of things as you develop out your antioxidants family of sites right before our eyes) gives all mobiers (experienced developers and newbies alike) ideas, encouragement, and support. It's like a shot of vitamin B-12 for our psyches.

Thanks and best of luck in the hot (...errr. I mean mod) seat.

I agree. One of the person I read the most attentively here, because he invested in .mobi but he is still making cautious and balanced comments.

Congrats. Great choice. :great: :)

Thank you :) I'm not the "pump and dump" domainer type. Being an investor first and a domainer second, I've learned to like long term investments. If I could sell my health portfolio tomorrow for 1000% what I paid for it, I wouldn't. Most people would probably say that's silly. "Take the money and run," or something to that extent.

I guess I'm really not much of a domainer, and more of a domain investor.

It's not because I necessarily think I would ever get more for them undeveloped (I never "low ball" people), but rather because I have many years I can devote to developing these names in my spare time and it's much easier to achieve good SEO results with good names.

For those of you with large .mobi collections like me (ie 100+ names), think how much your portfolio would be worth if you could make just $1/day off each of those names. With 100 names, that would be $36,500 annually. If you had 378 like me, you'd be looking at over $130,000 annually... Just by earning $1/day off each name. Impossible? I think $1/day is a reasonable expectation for a developed site. Why sell your names short of what they could be worth?
