I just recieved an offer for Casserole(.)tv for 45GBP on SEDO. With the fees it comes out to 10GBP. What should I do, should I send it to auction or counter offer? I would take the money if there were no fees, but roughly $25 is not worth it for me. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

25.00 bucks? hmmm, tis a food name- i think food and cooking will do nice for .tv- i sold simmer.tv for 650.00 many months ago- altho it is specific, i still think its a bit low

I appreciate the reply smashfactory. Do you think I should counteroffer with $250 or send it to auction?

many times i will reply with- My bin for the name is 250.00, but would be happy to send it to auction for 100.00-

this way you give him an option- but if you get no bids you need to be prepared to take 100.00

Is there any way to get around the SEDO fees? What if I contact the bidder privately. I have never recieved an offer on one of my domains so Im a noob to this.

do you know who the bidder is?

I think you should make a reasonable counter offer.
I think $200-$250 is a good range.

Yes, I just saw that it is an NP member. He posted on one of my for sale threads. Why didnt he just make an offer via NP?

I will make a counteroffer.

Is the domain parked with Sedo? If it is the Maximum fee's they charge is 10% so you should only be paying 4.50GBP for the fee's on a bid of 45GBP.

It is not parked with SEDO and this is what it says verbatim:

Sales Price: 45 GBP
Less Sedo Fees: -35 GBP
Amount to be paid: 10 GBP

Can I repark it at SEDO and then have the bidder make another offer?

you should repark it- then it is only 10%- good luck and let us know the outcome!

If the offer has come from a NP member then just privately negotiate a sale here. Over the last couple of weeks domains that have gone to Sedo have only received the one opening bid and thats it! Then you pay the amount you had agreed on originally less the 10% and that makes no sense.

IMO I would not take it to Auction in the hope of a higher price cause right now things are very slow.

Since you know the buyer is a NP member, just negotiate directly with him/her

Thanks for all the replies. I sent my counteroffer but it was rejected. I reparked with SEDO and offered to take it to auction if he reoffered his initial price.

I settled for 55GBP. Not too bad I guess. Any thoughts on the sale?

Forgot to mention it was outside of SEDO, so no fees!

I think ยฃ55 ($110 approx) is a decent sale for that domain at this time. I cannot see there ever being too much competition fighting it out to buy that domain so you probably done the right thing selling while there was a buyer interested.

Hope you are re investing the profits in a slightly better .tv :)

Good Luck,
Ronnie

Cool sale, but imagine that "Casserole" sometimes becomes some famous name ;).
