Hi guys and gals,

I have just received an offer via Namedrive, where I have parked some of my domains.

The offer was for onstage dot tv for $500

I would really appreciate any feedback or suggestions before I get back to the interested party. ( No idea if the offer is genuine or not, but would appreciate any thoughts about this before I make contact.)

Thanks for your time.

I remember that I checked if OnStage.TV was available...
So I like it and I know now who owns it :hehe:

Think about the AOL-webcast of the last Live Aid (Live8).
Your dn fits very well these kind of webcast.
So with the right buyer, I think your name has a lot of potential.

It really depends on how long of an investment you expected this to be. I think that's a reasonable good price for onstage.tv. Granted they may be opportunities in the future to increase the value.

I would take it. :imho:

Alex, this is probably an initial offer. I had a similiar situation with at .tv and the guy started with 200 USD and ended at 1500 USD and I said no all the way. It is one of my better names that I will take a chance on holding on to. I am pretty sure you can get the buyer to up his/her price if this is the initial offer. You then have to see where this name stands in your portfolio. If you have a bunch of A plus names then I would let this one go to recoop some monies. I personally would make a low to mid XXXX counter to see the interest level of buyer. You can always change your mind. If the buyer is a reseller then you will lose him but he wasn't going to pay much anyway. If he is an enduser you may have what he needs.

Good luck Alex, keep us informed on how it goes. PS Funny enough, I also got up this morning with an offer on a .com at NameDrive and it was XX. Bottom line is, most people will start low, and why not right, once in awhile you may score big.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I will probably do a counter offer, and see where it gets me. I mean, if the initial offer was 500 and the offer is genuine, then who knows ??

Will keep you all informed.

I would always counter, but if the name is one I WANT to sell, I'd take $500 as its a very good return on investment. If I don't mind selling or keeping, a resonable counter will potentially up their offer and increase the profits a little more; too high a counter will kill any potential, so again if this name is one my sell list I keep it reasonable.

Now, if the name is one that I hold in high regard, and feel could be developed into big potential and or could be a real money maker down the road, I make a serious counter at a much higher price.

With that said, IMHO, $500 is a solid price for that name. I would consider taking it, or at the max counter in the $1000-$1500 range hoping to move it up to the $800 range. Personally, I do not think its a $X,XXX + name; again, just my opinion. Good luck with your negotiation and let us know what happens.

I always love it when a fish starts to nibble on the worm. It always makes me wonder, though - what kind of fish it out there? Is it a minnow or a 2 pounder?

I seem to get minnows, lol. Good luck!

Good name, though, wish I'd thought of it first.

Unless you need cash, do not move til the buyer gets back with a second offer or requires your asking price. Your quality .tv name is worth $500 !

Thanks for the reply Argos.

I sent back an email saying that I would be willing to sell if the right offer came in. I didn't give any indication of the price I am looking for, and am now waiting to see if I hear back.

I agree 100%. This is an initial offer. Hold on, make a counter offer, and wait for a reply. This is a decent .tv name, I think it's worth more than $500.

No reply back yet.

Don't want to send another email, and look like I am desperate for the sale, but I will most likely follow up the initial enquiry again over the next week.

Will keep you all informed, and thanks for the comments.
