Well I get those every now and then.
With a sales reach of 1000 per month It is bound to happen.
So 1 week ago one kid purchased 1 script from my site.
I sent him an email asking him to let me know the domain name on which he will be using it so I can add him into the customers database and it will help me to provide him future updates and support.
No reply came.
Sent it again.
No reply came.
Day before Yesterday he emailed me and asked where is his script. So I pasted that automated reply to him. To which he replied with his domain name.
Now I was already frustrated by now :D Because it might be bad stuff but I hate giving much time for 1 transaction.
After sending him the script. 1 hour later I have an email. That script is not working and I have errors in my script and god knows what. He also sent me the list of errors.
So I told him that read the help file and see you haven't followed the installation steps.
He again emailed me that it is not working.
I said sir we don't provide installation services so deal with it on your own. I have sold 500 copies of it and never had any problems.
He replied that I might have sold 500 copies but he has purchased 5000 scripts in his life. :D
So now I was getting excited. I definitely knew this was going to be hot issue
I said see now there is only one solution. That you give me your server ID and password and I will see what is missing.
He replied: What the hell is server. He wants it to run it on his PC. :D
So I told him what the server is and what we need and gave him some links of cheaper servers.
He again got angry. He shouted a lot of words on me and purchased a server [Yes you guessed it right. He purchased a Windows server instead of Unix one.]
So the story went on again in evening.
I told him again that see listen to me and get this thing.
He said no he wants a refund :D
Now there was no problem from my side so I didn't refunded him.
So he goes forward and files a case in paypal.
Which he lost
Now he has no scripts and no money.
He started emailing me this that etc. Even told me that he will come to my house someday and beat me. He is ruined now. He is broke and he lost his job recenlty. [Remember that 5000 scripts purchased thing. He has purchased 5000 scripts in his life and now he is broke]
I said see you were acting smart so you deserved that. Now wait a second and I will solve it out.
I gave him a server. Uploaded the files. He changed the DNS.
It worked. [Well it was already going to work on a Unix server with PHP installed]
Today I refunded him :lala:
And took the site off.
Now he is begging for his wrong attitude. And also wants to buy it again.
Which I doubt he will be buying it. Because next time he buys it. He will get no script. and he will have to file another case and I will refund him again.
