Beware of Member "/ AJ \" (formerly Artico)..

Ok, a little while back I posted a thread in the wanted section looking for traffic names...

So, / AJ \ contacts me & shows me his traffic name with stats from DomainHop with it making about $35/month with about 8-10 uniques/day.

I agreed to purchase the name for $225 & paid him immeditaley by Paypal... I then received the domain name transfer.

When I got the name setup with DomainHop I noticed it wasn't getting much traffic at all (either none or a couple/day) & I wasn't getting any clicks so I PM'ed him & asked him exactly how he had it setup @ DH as I wasn't getting any results.

He then told me how he had it setup & then mentioned that "most of the traffic used to come from links in his forum sigs".

I then told him that I was not told that once I had purchased the name that the traffic would be taken away... why would I purhcase the name if it had no traffic???

I explained this all to him but he doesn't seem to understand the concept or is playing dumb... he said something like "I don't get you, it's your name now, it's up to you how you promote it"... ummm hello? I didn't buy the name to spend time promoting it, I could buy any old name if I wanted to promote it.... I BOUGHT THE NAME FOR THE TRAFFIC.. which most has been taken away now.

RJ, myself & possible CoolJeff have explained the concept of traffic names to him over & over & over again.... but he utterly refuses to give a refund.

His last PM told me to "stop being lazy & promote the name like he did".

I also believe he is involved with another member here who bought a name & didn't receive it..

I'm just warning everyone to be careful when buying names off him (especially names purchased which he claims to have traffc)... I wouldn't recommend buying names off him at all.... I also would like to see him banned from NamePros!

You should most certainly get a refund in this case since you DID NOT get what you paid for!

Yeah I know. But it's sad to see that when they go into hundreds some members...

For failure to respond, and in so doing, blatant disregard for Staff™ and fellow members ... in addition to TWO incomplete transactions that we are addressing in the "Private-to-Staff" area, member "AJ / Artico" has been permanently and irrevocably removed (banned) from the Namepros site! :tri:
