ccTLD .RE - Great Extension for Real Estate - Your thoughts?

A month or so ago, domainmonster sent out an email saying they are now representing .RE (Reunion Island).. When I first read the email I instantly thought of .RE as Real Estate and purchased a handful of names.

.TV (Tuvalu) has been taken on board as online TV and that is evident in the sales in that extension as well as the adaptation of .tv for many of the major brands.

.ME (Montenegro)is now also a growing extension as in ME (Myself / I). There was the SEDO auction that saw .me names selling at good prices etc etc

.CO (Columbia) wins the marketing award as either a typo for .com or as I see it, the even shorter version of .company and there have been a few 6 figure sales etc etc..

So, with all of that in mind and how the public are slowly adapting to other extensions that "make sense", what do you think of .RE as an investment into the mega bucks world of real estate?

Nope.

I mean, .ws also stands for website right ?

.re makes me think of reinsurance like Swiss Re.

The market is way to saturated with absurd extensions like this. Dont waste your money. IMHO

.RE is mainly known for hacks like foursqua.re, but as the possibilities are limited the zone is not so popular.

Google search for """ site:re "real estate" """ returns about 46,700 results.

To compare with Google search for """ site:me "middle east" """ returns about 753,000 results.

About 20 times more. Would you think of .ME as Middle East?
