domain Rcvd offer from CEO of consulting firm for deponte_com, advice?

Via email a CEO of what seems like a pretty decent sized consulting firm inquires about my domain _deponte.com_.

I have no idea where to start as far as price range goes.

So far, no numbers have been discussed.

Advice?

If the IP headers on his email are from Russia - run like hell and don't look back.

You haven't provided enough details for anyone to say if this is a scam - but you should make wure you are aware of how appraisal scams work.. Try googling some of the text in the email to make sure this is on the up and up.

CEOs of decent sized firms don't write out emails to buy domains from people that they have never heard of.

That's your first advice.

Emailed me from his domain address which is his last name and left a number.

This isn't from a free bonbon.net email. Headers show i.p./domain from ISP in the city this individual is located in America.

Seems pretty legit to me.

One thing you must be aware of is that if he asks you to pay for an appraisal and recommends some appraisal websites then it is a scam.
