Quick question - just for fun.
If the whole surface area of planet Earth was broken down into 1000 pieces, how many do you think you would you need to fit the USA? What about your home country? No googling!

It depends if you think in terms of geographic miles (US would have approx. 6 pieces, Canada 10) or if using another scale (ie. consumption per capita, reliance on fossil fuels etc.) the scale tips...
