.tv Quick help needed with transfer out from Name.com

Hi guys,

Selling one of my .tv's that is not legacy premium. But I registered it for the one time premium price (adter 2010). Domain is with name.com. Buyer wants to transfer it out. We started the process, but the buyer noticed that the status is "serverTransferProhibited".

What does it mean? I can't transfer it out?

I have seen that on many domains.. Maybe that is you can't transfer that domain to other registrar.. but I don't think that there should be any prohibition on within registrar domain transfer (I mean account change)

If its urgent then call them directly (on helpline or something support no's) and tell your situation..

Doesn't matter.. you have paid for it. They must provide 24*7 support.

Just means the domain is locked at the registry level. Just unlock and transfer.

My understanding is that even if it is a onetime upfront premium you will NOT be able to transfer it out until July 29th. Only standard renewal domains can be moved out.

Thx, Ammar. Already called the Name.com and got the full picture. But, amigos, after July, 29 I still won't be able to transfer the prem domain out to ANY registrar of my choice

I presume he is referring to the fact that it has to be a "premium tv" registrar... so enom, name, dynadot, hexonet but not godaddy, domainmonster, namecheap etc.

Why you do not advise buyer to create a name.com account, it takes less than a minute, and then he will receive the name by push

Yes John, correct - it was my point.

Manos - it's their corporate policy. Very complicated stuff with them. But finally creating the acc. with Name is the only one solution currently.
