Hi guys
I was just after a quick bit of info to see what everyone did in this type of situation thanks. I have found a couple of free .com domain names where other lesser extensions are taken. from what i have learnt this would represent a good sales opportunity as , in theory, you could pick up the .com to sell to whoever owns the other extensions. but.....do you buy the .com name first before seeing if they're interested (taking the chance they aren't and you have a name that is of no interest to anyone else & unsellable) or contact them before registering it yourself (thus protecting you from wasting time/money if they don't want to buy it off you)? if you contact them first how do you word it so you're not lying about owning it already but avoid alerting them that they could just go & reg it themselves?
thanks for that
