I am looking at bringing these domains online in the near future, however, I would like to know from those of you who have successfully marketed similar domain names what the secret is to generating some passive income.

I would suggest you build the sites relevant to the niche it suggests on its domain. Provide useful and relevant content for SEO concerns, drive a lot of targeted traffic into it - monetizing it would be easier afterwards.
