Question about French keyword domains

Is there much value in French keyword domains with .com extension. the ones I am looking at also have the letter " i " in front of the keyword.

Example: i<French_keyword>.com

If you are targetting the French market I believe using a leading i or e is much less common than in the US and will therefore not convey the same appeal as in English. I would rather avoid doing so but with some keywords you might still come up with brandable names.
If in doubt seek the advice of French-speaking people.

As french speaking people, I can say it depends the keyword. Sometimes the i doesn't match, sometimes it's okay. We use a lot of terms with e like ecommerce or ebusiness. If you want, you can PM me for a more private advice.

there are still a lot of french simple word available on .COM

Hmmm, it's gotta be niche and very high profile to have the i and e in front. We have poutine.org (a significant french term that is very recognized in French speaking Canada, especially Quebec)... but I doubt that ePoutine or iPoutine even .com would work.

Again, it depends on the size of the market sector and the suitability of the actual term, product or service.
