I'm looking at a couple domains coming up for expiration that I have some end users in mind for...

Question: after winning an expired domain do you have to wait 60 days to transfer it? (and therefore wait 60 days to sell it)

I will be using Namejet and snapnames.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi

you don't have to wait 60 days to sell it,
but you do have to wait 60 days to transfer it.
however, the name can be "pushed" to a buyers account at the SAME registrar.

ie: if it's registered at godiddy, then you could push the domain to another account at godiddy, but you couldn't transfer it to dynadot, until 60 days have passed.

imo....

All registrars have a push button option for domain transfers (wihtin the same registrar). If your domain is sold on Sedo etc via premium partners, they will ask buyer to wait until the registrar lock is released after the buyer is paid, so there is no need to worry.
