Questions about transfers

Hello,

I have couple questions about transferring domains to another registrars and internal push within the same registrar. I guess this thread will hep other new domainers who want to learn the transfer period after they register or drop catched the domains. This will be all-in-one thread for the all transfers.

What is the auction lock transfer period for pending deletion, pre-release and expired domains ?
If we find an end-users and want to sell do they wait for certain amount of time to gain the ownership of the domain?

If you guys can refer the waiting time period as how many days will help the new domainers like me to understand the basics of Drop Catching.

1- NameJet (eNom)
As far as I know when someone acquire domain from NameJet, it goes to eNom. If the domain was in Pre-Release or Pending Deletion, how many days we should wait for to sell the domain ?

eNom Internal Push: ?
Transfer to other registrar: ?

2- Snapnames (NetSol)
When we backorder a domain or won the expired auction on Snapnames, How long should we wait for it to transfer ?

Backorder/Drops : ?

Transfer to other registrar: ?

3- Dropcatch (NameBright)

Backorder: ?
Drop catch Auctions: ?
NameBright Internal Push: ?
Transfer to other registrar: ?

4- Dynadot

Dynadot backorder: ?
Dynadot Expiring Auctions: ?
Internal Transfer to other Dynadot account :
Transfer to other registrar: ?

5- GoDaddy
After registering a new domain name how long should we wait for transfer to buyer.

basically, you should wait at least 60-90 days with any new catch or new registration, before trying to sell it.

also, seems u got flippo mentality.... thinking you're gonna reg a name one day and sell it to another the next.

Too many questions Basically, when the domain is in your account, you can push it to another account with the same registrar right away but you'll need to wait 60 days if you want/need to transfer the domain to another registrar.

Not sure why @biggie suggests that you should wait with your marketing efforts. You can always ask the buyer to create an account with your registrar. Sure, some people might get frustrated at this point but from my experience not really. And it usually takes some time to find the (right) buyer and to get the deal done so you might as well start to pitch the name to potential buyers right away IMO.

As @nomen says generally 60-days you can't transfer the domain out of the your registrar, however there is no time limitation on pushing to another account within same registrar.

If someone wants to buy, you request them to create account with same registrar.
