well, well, well.
Mr. Rough Cut has really kicked up some dust so it appears. A certain percentage of that was intentional, I will gladly be the first to admit that fact.
The reality is, my name is not "Bob", or Brian, or George, or Sanchay. The funny part is, I have a line of communication with a dozen .tv faces here alone (those included), but "Bob" is in fact a gentleman I have NEVER spoken with via phone OR email.
Chicago, as I stated in my previous post, you have on several occassions stated negative or miscommunicated issues and statements, one way or another, that sent a black cloud over .tv. When you own a name as potentially powerful as Chicago.tv, it would behoove you to eliminate any and ALL negative viewpoints and conversations. It is mind boggling (and sad) to read quotes (1 of many-that make no sense and are so naive), "We have talked to all the major networks and they don't care about .tv." I simply stated, speak for yourself, and I informed you, there are many other variables to a successful business relationship, especially at such a high level; NBC, ABC, CBS etc. Those folks screen and rescreen. You think just because you own the domain they are supposed to roll out the red carpet? They look at your communication level, education level, previous successes, your attire, your email formats, your ability or lack of to educate them on not only .tv but your business plan and development ideas and MANY more. The reality is, and has been, I know a person or two or three...that has met you, (one is not even a member of NP) not to mention the few calls I have put in to you and emails to "play to the game" under the radar. Again, this is supposed to be a positive forum, and since you (by default of ownership of Chicago.tv) carry a piece of credibility in many peoples eyes, I know the "real" story(s) and how many of these pieces have been built up, and or been destroyed over the past 24 months.
People deserve the truth, but more importantly people have a built-in RESPONSIBILITY to speak within an educated and positive manor. Again, just because YOUR attempted business plan and relationships failed, DOES NOT mean other cities and other owners have or will follow suit. The reality is, and time WILL prove that, .tv did not fail through the GEO space (as you believe), YOUR first attempt to promote YOURSELF and your ownership has fallen short, period. I am just stating FACTS and trying to uncover the lost treasure by helping more "reality" set in to you and other less informed .tv followers. I wish you and everyone else the best of luck going in to 2008.
My work is done here. Thank you, Happy Holidays.
