Put domain on Bodis, now getting notice of sale from Afternic

Hi everyone,

I'm not a pro, and I'm not going to be. I'm helping a family member sell a domain he's had for quite a while.

I put the domain on Bodis two days ago, and now I'm getting emails from Afternic, which looks quite like spam sales, stating they have "successfully verified payment" for less than what I had put for BIN.

I really appreciate the information on this site and I hope that my contributions to other specialty sites for beginners and others help move communities forward and make up for asking for help here- I just don't know enough to help others with domains.

Before I ignore and block Afternic, could it be possible that the represent someone interested in the domain?

I already have offers - maybe a bit lower than we'd like - for the domain, so I can sell it without paying a commission (just go through an escrow).

Since I'm inexperienced with this, I'm trying to figure out what I'm missing.

Why not call Afternic?

Call Afternic and ask for Josh or Seth -- those two are pretty friendly support from Afternic.

Thank you for the reference @NameShiba - I called yesterday and we are trying to sort it out now. They were perfectly professional and seemed genuinely curious how it could have happened.
