I have created a premium domains blog to share observations and angles on domain investing. The blog will expand to cover quite a wide variety of industry topics. Meant to be thought-provoking though fair, and to encourage and inspire. Wanted to seriously reflect on some major issues facing the domain industry as we move forward into 2009.

Made the site with WordPress which has impressed me with many features and a pretty sophisticated dashboard for tweaking articles behind the scenes.

I should mention that I don't yet have time to moderate so comments are off for now.

Please feel free to check it out. Feedback and criticism is fine. Thanks.

If the site loads too slowly, I'd appreciate knowing that.

The site loaded in a new window fairly fast here.
Good writing, well proofed, no blaring affiliate ads (yet?).

Insert a bar or two of color?

Are those generic people images relevant? The writing is good, put something domain relevant in there.

mine loaded ultra-quick...

simple, straight forward design. Easy to navigate, I know what the site is about as soon as I arrive. Nothing bad to report, maybe add a logo in the header??

The content, is exquisite! You are a very good at writing and know what you're talking about! I know this is a design critique but I had to put that in there as well. I must admit I read every single word on your blog :) it truly was a great read!

Thank you, each one of you, for your time and your comments. Valid points in every post. The header I am working on.

Can't tell you how nice that is to hear. Having something interesting for readers is my #1 goal. The 1st Domain Name Profile will be posted tomorrow and I think readers will really enjoy what this segment is about. The domain profiled will be a beauty.

kill the generic photos, or add some relevant ones. and add a dash of color. This is just my personal gripe (you & others may like it) I cannot stand that live traffic feed plugin. It's just a space filler IMHO.

Other than that it looks sharp & loads fine from here.

I actually killed that before reading your post so you just confirmed the decision even more. Thanks. I agree with the comments on header and need for color. Can't find yet what I'm looking for yet, but it's in the works.

Want to invite your comments on my Business.us blog profile, particularly a thinking-outside-the-box approach. I'm only covering the name, it's not mine. Doing a directory is kind of an automatic angle. Here's the link if you'd like to post: http://premiumdomains.biz/blog/2009/01/business-domain/

Once again, thanks for the design tips. I take it that the layout is working for everyone. Not to digress, but I had a very sexy looking design with a black background. But, decided against it because there's something about reading text against a black background that can be a strain. Is that just me?

Look at your colorful links here. Use a little bunch of various color bits.

I'm really loving the design - especially the header. I would however try and make the searchfield more Mac'ish

Hi. I don't quite follow on the Mac'ish searchfield. Could you clarify that for me?

New logo is up.

Thanks for noticing. Advertisers will be select and discreet ... if at all. Really only want to blog about interesting angles and premium domains.

P.S. Got a killer one word .com going to be profiled tonight.

The design is very nice, but I personally think that the header is out of place. The black border doesn't match the rest of the design.
