Anyone who turns out to be astonishingly inaccurate in their prediction will face possible ridicule for a considerable period of time - not encouraged but likely impossible to prevent.
In the event of an Astoundingly Accurate Prediction, defined as an unedited post that falls within $50,000 of the actual total (which, for the avoidance of doubt is a $100,000 range), it may not be possible to prevent the poster(s) from receiving an indeterminate number of reputation points and a moderate amount of bragging rights.
Only MTLD auction sales will count, not bids that fall short of any reserves.
The winning bidder will be announced at a point in time that may or may not be soon after to the end of the auction.
To encourage early participation, the cut-off point for entries will be announced without reasonable notice at a time that may or may not be close to the end of the auction.
