Ok I was wondering something. If I were or anyone else started up a site and it had 0PR and only one backlink and that backlink was PR10 what would google rank your site.

Just curious.

This should be in SEO section but still its an Interesting question WiiSaid :)

If its a PR10 link it must be from a Mega site such as Google, Apple or yahoo So i guess if this link stays at least few months new site will get minimum PR5 ?

I think it's 4, but I might be wrong. I used to know, I swear.

I think it influences the PR of the site but not so strongly. Maybe 2 or 3PR.

The formula should be number of links +quality of links (I'm sure relevancy should be in there somewhere too), but I'm inclined to agree with loran76

Hmm thanks guys I found a guy who want's to sell a PR10 link to me for $3800.

Excuse me, but I think you're better off getting links the old-fashioned way ($3800 is ALOT of money).. one link won't do you that much good.

Exactly.. I'd rather have 20 4-6 PR links than 1 PR 10..

Back on to topic- Getting a PR10 link isn't worth it. Its fine to stock on PR4-6 links along with other links. Just because you get a PR10 link doesn't mean your domain and website will be getting the same PR..

Just a little insight.... ;)

Expiration date: 03 Oct 2007 19:21:19

Takes at least 90 days for a PR update... so PR0 isn't surprising.

They have an Alexa of 30k which if legitimate is impressive for so short a time.

Thanks for the link, dgridley. What sites do these PR1-PR7 links come from?

Be very careful and check if it is a REAL PR10. Probably it is not, it is very difficult to get that PR and even more to allow them link to you.

As other people said, $3,800 is a LOT of money. Better stick to PR's 4 to 6, much cheaper, or even free.

Back to topic, I know from experience that if you have a Relevant Link from a PR8 site, your site will be a PR6 by the next update. Yes, that is correct, you just need a minimum SEO done in your site.

HTH.
