Syndicating your Articles – but should you publish them on your own site

I have been building a list of good sites who want to publish articles I distribute – in return for a backlink in the bio.
Some of these sites are PR 6,7,8 – so they will obviously rank higher.

This is content I have had written specifically to syndicate and re-distribute, but I was wondering 2 things

1) Have the article link back to my homepage and not publish it on my site.

2) Have the article link back to a page on my site that I have already published it on. My worry here is i will be penalised for duplicate content.

Thanks for any advice.

I would do this:

1) Have the article link back to my homepage and not publish it on my site.

If you want the content on your site, write two distinctly unique articles - keep one on your site and distribute the other.

IMHO publish on your site first and when you syndicate it you link back to the original.

For the low down on dupe content see Matt Cutts (Who is the Head of Web Spam Prevention at Google) opinion on the: Duplicate content question

How much time

Iuf you have plenty of time I'd make sure each article is unique.

if not make sure you publish on your site first and try to get it indexed ASAP. Than syndicate the article to other websites with a link back to your website.

I think you should first add the content in your site: then wait for sometime [so that the content is indexed], then you can submit the content to other sites.

You do not have to worry about duplicate content as Google will find the content first on your site. Your site will get the credit for that content.
