Well ladies and gents, I have finally done. I spent the whole day cleaning up my portfolio at the Sedo and Afternic and have fixed priced 95% of my portfolio (600+) domains.
The past few months, I have found myself purchasing more xxx and x,xxx priced domains then usual and the reason I was doing it was because they were fixed prices. When I saw a name I felt I was getting a deal on- I did not hesitate on buying the name on the spot. I baught a $399 name on fabulous a few days ago and I can't tell you how rewarding it was to have the domain name in my account in less then 5 minutes (no exaggeration). I strongly believe that this sales approach is a strong and ideal one for my portfolio, so I repriced the entire stash between $225 and $375 with about 25% priced higher then that and 5% the premiums (domains I spent above $2,000 for) that I left for Make Offers but also priced.
It took a long time but it was richly rewarding. And I think once you reach a certain amount of domains and premiums it simply must be done. I feel like I know my portfolio much better and I definitely would suggest every domainer do a reanalysis of their sales strategy every now and then to reflect trend, market, and other affecting factors.
