.tv PornTV.TV Sold

I bought this name a few weeks back.

PornTV.TV was acquired for $797.25 (including Escrow.com fee's) on 1/24/08
This can be confirmed with Escrow.com paper work.

I was debating to disclose this business deal, but since I feel good about TV.TV and .TV in general, I am disclosing this to the board as I feel sharing honest information is good for the extension and good for the forum. Some will say this was too much, others will say it was a steal.

I'm curious to see how people feel about the value of this domain, after having the SexTV.TV discussion.

TY EQ, I feel it was one of the last great normal reg .tv's available for under $1000

Elequa owns pornotv.tv and he wont ever sell.

And Porn.tv and Porno.tv will go for such a huge amount.
It will be interesting to see how Porn.mobi does at this traffic auction.

PornTV.COM is developed and gets huge traffic already.

I think another one of the biggest sleepers in TV.TV is Westblocks Pokertv.tv

Porn is undeniably a great keyword

I have read all the threads and understand your reasoning behind this purchase. Not sure I would have went this route; spending $700 at this point in time when there is a multitude of keyword.TV names that are available for purchase that have more inherent value to others beyond this forum. From a strict reselling standpoint you put yourself into a much smaller market. If you plan to develop (which is easy for this name) it could prove a worthwhile purchase, problem is, the same could be said for just about any name.

It is a calculated purchase that I hope pays off for you.

I have been busy and did not have a chance to thankyou.

There was no hidden agenda Jeff, I do everything out in the open. I was debating if I wanted to disclose this deal but I wanted to get out discussion about tv.tv regardless. It has been discussed before on here but not in the sense of the domain SexTV.TV pricing and how legitimate the asking price is.

So many .tv deals have not been disclosed I think we need to discuss as many as we can.

I am wondering what your traffic will be. I am guessing it will be a lot. Every year it will only go up and if your going develope this it will bold well.

I own bjtv.tv and own it for couple weeks. Shocked that was open and I am seeing 4 to 5 uniques a day.

I believe porn bolds very well on .tv and going be a hot area in years to come. Out of all the areas porn will always be there I feel.
