As we have an international community here representing many Nationalities, Creeds, Cultures and Religions I thought it a good idea for members to post there views on appropriate terms for there Cultures etc.
For example here in Venezuela it is quite normal to call a Chinese person 'Chino' or a black person 'Negro' without any insulting intention where is this would be totally unacceptable in other countries.
