Partypoker's growth has slowed down according to an article:

PartyGaming plunged in value by a third - or £2bn - yesterday after the operator of the Party Poker website warned that the online game's phenomenal rate of growth had virtually ground to a halt in recent weeks."

Interesting. I "bet" gambling takes a hit with the economic downturn and high fuel costs.

I think the popularity has gone down recently because of the hurricane and people are too busy complaining about gas to have time to play.

According to the article the claim was only based on 6 weeks of data so I'm sure its nothing to worry about, summer is ending, kids are going back to college, less time for poker.

Yeah, and also because party poker changed its affiliate revenue payments when other sites havent. I had them as the top click through site and then, when they lowered their affiliate commission, dropped them to the bottom. As did most other webmasters i guess

I think you're right..it's a combination of people becoming more careful with their money these days and a peak in the gambeling industry.

I'd agree with that, I am making sure that every penny of my money is used wisely

I used to be a big poker fan, but the fad kinda wore off. BUt I do have to say that it is still fun to play with your buddies
