BluffAway.com, an Online Poker Magazine, is For Sale!
This has been a great project for myself and my team, as well as our authors, but we've taken on too many projects and are having trouble maintaining the site as it should. Bluffaway is an online poker magazine and forum with revenue, advertising to promote the site, and an amazing potential.
I feel the site should be updated every few hours, or at least once per day to really be competitive in the poker market, and with our new projects and existing work, there's just not enough hours in the day.
Bluffaway is made using Wordpress, so you can easily edit, change, move, or modify anything within the existing admin panel. Everything is simple to add to, and the categories all link correctly within the theme. The site is ranking well in Google and growing on a weekly basis, with more updates, i'm sure the new owner(s) will have no problem getting search engine traffic.
Domain is registered on GoDaddy and will be pushed free along with the site. Will transfer everything in a zip file to you, or will transfer the site for you to your hosting.
The site also has a poker forum, but was launched well into the site launch, so the post count isn't as high as other forums online, but it has plenty of posts and categories for traffic to grow the forum.

- 3 content writers available at a per article price. 3 professional poker players (1 of which is an established online poker author)
- No posts on the site are anywhere else on the web, all our articles are exclusive to Bluffaway.
- Promotional Items were made, hats, shirts, and sweatshirts. We have no more in stock, but pictures available of the promotional items. Currently being worn in Las Vegas, and 2 Connecticut Casino poker rooms to promote Bluffaway.
- Full twitter account with 213 tweets and updates, and currently 75 active followers.
- Fully integrated online poker forum within the Bluffaway template is active and live.
- Full active Youtube account with a few videos and a small following.
- Integrated Poker Store with Amazon Associates, for our readers to be able to purchase poker products while we retain a commission.
- Integrated contact forms with easy edit email function.
- Full newsletter function to send an email to all registered users.
- Plenty of ad space available to sell to potential advertisers.
- All ads are controlled by the admin panel, and gives the advertisers direct access to view their ads, and their ad statistics.
- Poker Tools page with active tools to help poker players calculate odds and improve their games.
- Integrated Facebook and Twitter to monitor activity, new code is on every page/templated page to see likes/tweets per page.
- Full statistics panel in the admin panel to monitor activity.
- Currently ranking on Google for "online poker magazine", "poker magazine", "online poker forum", and more.
- Extensive advertising and SEO work has been done on Bluffaway, the rank on Google will rise within the upcoming weeks/months.
Site Statistics:
- Site was launched on September 1st, 2011. Very new, but with a strong following. Every time we post, we have an influx of visitors within hours.
- All posts are shown on Twitter, and our Twitter account is growing on a daily basis. Account will be included with the sale.
- 570 visitors on our busiest day. (October 16, 2011)
- Site was edited 3-4 times daily with new content, but has slowed due to time constraints with other project.
- Site visitors have declined as we've only had a chance to add content twice in the past two weeks.
- Site statistic example is attached showcasing when we updated the site 3-4 times daily.
- Would like to see the site go to someone who can update the site on a daily basis.

Site Revenue:
- $18.25 total thus far from Amazon Associates (Online Poker Store)
- $56.60 from Lock Poker Affiliates (Banners on the site)
- $140 from outside advertisers (All expired currently, but will send list to new owner to see if they want to renew)
- $185 from Commission Junction (Displays ads on the sidebar of posts.) This is higher than normally we would see, we had one person purchase a $2,000 service from EFax.com for their business from Bluffaway which resulted in a majority of this revenue.)
- $32.82 from Google Adsense (no longer displayed on Bluffaway)
- $100 from Hostgator Affiliates (They send $50 per customer that signs up with them, we've had 2 from Bluffaway.)

Site Cost:
- Currently hosted on Hostgator's baby hosting plan for less than $8.
- A small hosting plan can hold the entire website and database with very little needed to monitor and maintain.
- Site is currently running on a turn-key basis. No html or php or coding experience is needed at all.
More Comments:
- The staff will remain promoting Bluffaway with our hats, shirts, and hoodies at events in CT, NV, and NJ poker tournaments.
- The staff can also continue creating articles or writing poker news at a negotiable per article fee.
- See site pictures for statistics screenshots, promotional pictures, and more.
- We will send a list of the advertisers we use to the new owner, to be able to continue our revenue succcess in a short time period.
- Site went live on September 1st, 2011 and has been online for less than 4 months.
- Bluffaway is perfect for a poker player who can update the site on a daily basis. It will continue to grow as more content is added.
