It looks really good well done.

A couple things I might say are:

- It perhaps lacks graphics. Maybe in the right hand sidebar add a box above the login area with a nice image encouraging people to join the forum.

- The background image is too small and I can see the edges of it (not pretty). Although my resolution is comparitively large it's a good idea to cater to all resolutions where possible. Maybe make it fade either side or get a seamless pattern.

Overall though I think it looks great. I wish you sucess with the forum.

I really like this design. It is really simple but it still manages to look so powerful. The logo, used technique with the 3d metal stylish of course, but I think you made it original somehow. Well done!

Well done on keeping it simple. When starting new forums it is important not to have 100's of topics.
Your BWR Scroe is 79.17% so there is plenty to do there, mostly just your H tags.

It's hard to start up a new forum, especially when there are other similar forums around. Does anyone have tips on how to grow these types of sites even better? I've added a teacher to teach people PHP by giving lessons - trying to add unique features to the site. Any other suggestions?

I am not a big fan of your choice of colors. I don't know if it's just me but somehow, I feel that the colors don't go along too well (the orange, blue, red clash).
As someone already said, you need more graphics. The website looks a bit dull without graphics.
I am also not a big fan of forum icons.

Other than that, the layout looks okay.

I love the Design and I concur with other members who said There is a noticeable lack of graphics on the site.

Start off with offering incentives/contests for new members. You are way too late to play catchup, as most developers are already attached to several other forums. I suggest you aim for the beginner/amateur audience.
