One guy used to contact me about my domains few months back. He usually ask "Is this domain for sale? What is the price?" When I tell him to make offer or I quote a price, he never gets back. I stopped replying him. Yesterday, I got a message from same name but with a little different email address asking me his interest in one of my domains?
Is it Scam? Or he is trying to get a price from me and try to resell it to another buyer/investor?

    thank you.

He could be trying to buy the name at a lower price, or he could be trying toi sell a valuation service. Is that scam still going on?

I don't understand his motive. But it does not look like an appraisal scam. He never asked me about appraisal. He does not reply once I reply back.

He may be afraid of the counter... He wants you to play your cards first.

Hi, I think when you hit reply button to an email and send your message, it does not end up in spam folder. Just my idea.

In an ideal world yes, but there are to many combinations of email providers to work out.

You can try getting on the phone, or send a letter too.

Machine gun shooting out emails and only replying to those that give a definitive and low price.

Sounds like a guy that uses automated scripts to mass email. probably based on patterns or keywords. so yeah he has a bunch of emails to elude spam filters, etc.

It is unlikely. He mentions the exact domain name he wants from me. It is not possible in bulk emailing. I have lost interest in his email but still have shoot a reply back. If he evades this time again I will make his name public and also one of his email.

waste of time in dealing with such people.

Unless you are a person who sells domains in low $xxx, it is always good not to respond to such inquiries.

Sure he can do that with automation. You just need a list of names and emails, then make a macro and away you go. Johname hit the nail on the head.

I stopped replying to lowball offers as they have never converted into sales.
