Parked Domains and search engines

Just curious , how does a parked Domain get pick up by the search engines such as Yahoo and Google. I have a domain and after 4 weeks of getting nothing ,(no visits and hits) all of a sudden 2 weeks ago I start getting views and clicks and increasing every day. Started at a few visits and $1 a day then more visitors and $2 a day and now getitng $4-$6 now a day now . I noticed that it is getting picked up by Yahoo in searches. How does that proccess happen . I never did any submitting or anything. And its a .org so I was shocked how well it is doing. Now a few days later another .org of mine is suddenly getting visits and hits.

search engine of type-in ?
