Seabass - Interesting concept, it's definitely something we have considered before. The contracts that most parking companies have don't allow them to put their own ads in, some can, but most can't. I won't go into details on what we do today, but in a few cases we do put in our own ads.

If we went to a company like Looksmart who provides a advertising system for a few PPC companies today, we could become a PPC company without much problem. But the question is when could we actually show the ads and would we be able to get you better RPC than you get today.

If you found the advertising that would be great, but you probably wouldn't get that much in the end. If we hired a bunch of advertising sales people, the revenue might go up, but the profits would go down as well.

Everybody today still goes to the big 2. Hopefully one day soon the sleeping giant will wake up and enter this industry as well. When they do this industry will be really interesting.

I would love to say that we would start our own PPC company, but realistically I would much rather provide you what we do today than go that route. But you never know.

I've been experiencing a nice portion of 1 click landers switching into 2 click landers. At first it seemed like just the poorest of extensions, then the domains with noise and it seems to be moving right on up into some pretty straight forward .com and .net names... Gotta luv Yahoo though

Use the English word and it should translate it into the equivalent in Spanish when viewed from a Spanish speaking country.

I at first used the Spanish word until I learned about using Parked....it makes a big difference. I think that the Yahoo system just can't key off some of the Spanish word like they can English.

I will say however, some really strong keywords will work in Spanish. Like Carros for Cars. In those cases it would be smart to experiment with both.

thanks Seabass, repped

do you also know for google adsense if works same way when building ministes.

i mean if i build a site out like carros.es for example. i would use only spanish text on site, images etc, but when i go to drop in adsense will it automatically serve up adsense according to who's viewing and where from? or do i need to adjust from adsense account?

cheers for any help

Thanks for the rep arnie!

Your second question.... I don't know. That is a very interesting question. On a word as strong as Carros it probably would key off the keyword.

For other less strong keywords, I'm guessing it has to make some kind of call on what to show......but I think that has to do just with the country and not who is viewing it..... unless they are tracking IP's that closely.

Where's Netmeg ? Try him. He might know this one. He's an Adsense expert.

thanks Seabass. I have asked question in adsense section too.

Once i have built site i will get a friend in Spain or Argentina etc to test and see what it's serving up in the way of ppc :sold:

Hi, Donny!

Why does not parked accept me?
I think I was denied last time with my application.

I wish to try parked if possible,
as I see there are many people at NamePros recommend to park with parked.com,
I wish if you could review my application once again.

He's a she, Seabass. Geez, I thought everyone knew that by now.

As far as AdSense languages - they support a bunch of languages but language preference is set at the account level - i.e. you can go into your account settings and tell them what your preferred display language is. They don't account for different languages in the same account, so if your primary language is set to English and you put up a site targeted to Spanish, you probably takes your chances. I suspect that you would get a mixture of English and Spanish ads, depending on the language of the actual site, the location of the viewer and the availability of ads in each language.

My bad. I did not know. :red:

You want to hear something funny, or not funny....I have no idea why I thought this.....but I was thinking you were some older guy about 55 years old. You know how sometimes you kinda' imagine what the other poster is like? That is what I imagined you as.

Anyways....sorrry.....it won't happen again.

I'm going to go ahead and rep you for the great answer. 8^X

Update: Oops......I'm not sure why but it says I need to rep someone else first. I'll get you later. :]

Yes, but can you see that my name is netmeg and not nutmeg? It's a PUN. (ork ork)

Obviously I'm going to have to work on my branding.

NO NO NO, you are not allowed more than one AdSense account. If you are targeting other countries with AdSense, you're just going to have to take your chances until they come up with a way to specify languages for specific sites. If it doesn't give you the right language ads, then I'm sorry, but there's not much you can do. You'd be better off looking for a different monetization option in the Spanish language.

And now, back to your regularly schedule Parked item...
