The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
GoDaddyGoDaddy
Google indexed and parked.com

I have one site that is currently ranked number one or two on MSN and Yahoo. I added some unique content and I'm updating it. Decent traffic which converts.

But the big G is kicking me in the nuts (with a frozen Kodiak). I was ranked for about three days (two weeks ago) and now nothing. Might be the dreaded sandbox but I'm wondering if its a parked.com thing.

Dropped .ca domain with some decent backlinks.

Wondering what other people experiences are currently with various domains at parked.

Thanks

Beats me...my wife and I pretty depressed. I'm lucky I have 3 jobs (only 1 full time one :) ) that I love, but all that passive income from parked was just amazing.

Domaining/Parking/Monetizing is just my hobby...on to the next way to make some extra $$$$

Any and all domains will loose traffic and ranking once parked...Thats the golden rule...with every parking provider

Leave Donny alone . . . people always kiss ass when things are good and pile on when things are bad . . . (look at bodis) . . .

You people will do anything to make an extra $10 a day. Treat people with respect, treat people like you would treat your neighbors. . . face to face.

I would refuse to answer questions from anyone without a track record of contributing to the community here at namepros.

Not if you buy generic domains that have never had a website, or just had a generic construction page like Netsol or Godaddy shows when the domain is not being used.

These are about the only domains I will buy.

EDIT: Ooops.... I just read the post closer. I think you meant once removed from an actual site and changed to a parked page. My bad. :)

Yeah, there are not many things like parking or arbitrage out there where you can earn passive income. The only other things that come to mind offhand are land leases such as farming and hunting leases, property tax liens, stock dividends, savings interest, MLM (once you get it going, but takes cheezeball personality to get it to work). Maybe I am forgetting some?

Why not try the domain flipping game like some folks? I know, I know... it's work. :yell:

Hey mrizos, do you feel like you have a huge hangover today?
Strange sensation not doing arb.!
How much would you be making by this time?

I went from an overall 90%+ CTR to 10% give or take a few - actually take a few is more like it - way below 10% today. It went from very acceptable ROI (300% + profit) to practically none. The next step would be to loose my Q score and then get kicked out the door, because Yahoo deems my domains, which previously were a 10, are now no longer suitable.
This is very quickly getting very sickening.

If all else fails, the last resort is to build sites and ... well, everyone knows the drill....

Donny, again the same question. What's your suggestion, your way pointer of recourse? Parked.com is losing money just like we do...

It is. Unfortunately, we can't all have "Candy.com" or something similar.
It's just a logical conclusion that after the fall of CTR, the QScore will go down the drain which in turn will prompt Yahoo to encourage Parked.com to pull the plug on domainers. It's a spiral effect that i'm not yet sure how to overcome. My CTR was stellar prior, now it's dead. ...confusion is settling in...

My score is still a 10, but not for long. I'll probably suffer the same fate as Mike and all the other arb folks. Since TQ scores have been in place, I've been a 10 almost the entire time, except for one week in January when my score went down to 6. I sent better quality traffic with arbitrage then any other method, expired traffic or type in.

This is the info that yahoo needs.

Donny

Anyword from yahoo on the factor of other yahoo providers still allowing arbitrage or them at least not informing their affilates of any changes of arbitrage??

Seems to me that potentailly parked.com got singled out by yahoo???

I'd say alot of hoping for some ray of hope on this.

I never followed this TQ score. I only monitor my revenue, which is consistent so far no arbitrage traffic in the past.
