The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Country names are reserved by the registry, you cannot own these.
Some unofffical names are around, I own for example Holland.mobi (the official name Netherlands.mobi is reserved).

Thanks for the heads up hanogl - btw. Holland.mobi is a very good one to own, most people in the UK use "Holland" rather than Netherlands.

I have Lappland.mobi & Lapland.mobi (Both official spellings). Its not strictly a country, but a part of many countries.
Looking forward to getting developed, when time permits

Yeah nice names wot

How long do you think before the extension gets going? Year or two? You think things like the iPhone will help in this?

I'm not convinced the extension will totally succeed , already starting to see prices less than you might expect based on relatively recent hype sales. I think it all depends on the publics perception, if THEY associate the web and .mobi you have a winner - if not - se la vie. :imho:

NorthKorea.mobi was in the Geo live but like many of the names no interest - as always time will tell. :gl:

One word .Mobis are not necessarily worth much. If they are "defining terms" for an industry then they could be worth a lot. For a rough guess try estibot.com , for more detailed analysis try the appraisal section here at Nameppros. You can sell here too, but, as Wot mentioned, .Mobi is not moving very fast right now. There are important companies adopting .Mobi and so I am optomistic, time will tell. It will take 4 years to move out all the reserved names overhanging the market.

Thanks wot & accentnepal for your responses and views. The one word mobi's I have are probably worth very little to nothing, but I'll keep checking on them for a year or two and see how things go.

Giving Estibot.com a try now, thanks.

I've got a bunch of cities and countries in foreign languages--the English-language version of most (all?) was reserved in English. The list is at www.mobiharbour.com.
